Fermanagh Community Transport (FCT) is a registered charity established in 2013 following the merger of two former regional organisations. FCT is dedicated to helping people gain independence from social isolation, exclusion, and loneliness across the rural landscapes of Fermanagh. The organisation has provided over 250,000 essential door-to-door trips for individuals who cannot access public or private transport. Serving a membership of over 1,200 rural citizens, FCT facilitates critical access to GP surgeries, hospital outpatient appointments, grocery shopping, educational facilities, and social integration activities. Through services like Dial a Lift and specialised schemes for older people and those with mobility issues, FCT operates as an indispensable lifeline, actively bridging the gap left by reduced commercial transport infrastructure.
